Grace Bristow is a New York based sculptor and installation artist who works with plaster, paper-pulp, plant fiber and steel. Her process is similar to the scientific method: she starts with a question about how a material might behave under certain conditions. Guided by her intuition, she responds to the material as it transforms— what’s left behind is an artifact of her actions.
